BACK TO SCHOOL

    Winter break is officially over, and that's mean back to school! My first day back to college I decided to go with something simple, a turtleneck and flats (a must even though our campus is small), accented by my favorite belt. Classes so far are overwhelming, but I'm hoping they'll start to slow down, at least a little.

    How great are the clothes in the Diesel Black Gold lookbook for pre-fall 2012? Really. I love those short boots and all of the bags are great in both size and shape, though I don't think I could ever reasonably carry bag as large as the one in the last few pictures! If I could define my style, I think I would want it to be a little something like this ;).

MIRRORS

    The building next to my friend's apartment is a bunch of mirrors constructed to stand up and pretend to be a building. In actuality, it's a playground for the vain, a.k.a. me. We took pictures here in an attempt to kick start another blog. It's yet to be named. It's been a week and half. But in the process, great photos were created! The shirt and pants I'm wearing I've had for a few years. They're starting to get that great worn in feeling that I always look for in new clothes, but can really only be achieved with time.

   Do you have any favorite items that have gotten better with time or do you prefer the crisp feel of new clothes?

WINTER WONDERLAND

    Hola, chicas and chicos! After being sentenced to a never ending death of wearing glasses from an eye infection during finals week, I'm back (glasses still affixed)! The weather in Oklahoma has been far from winter and I've celebrated by never actually venturing outside. Schucks. When I do make the scary trek out into the wilderness, I like to do it with friends by my side. This time we prepared with lunch and braved the crowds at the mall with ease. 

   I hope everyone's been enjoying the holidays and the new year! Hopefully somewhere there really is a Winter Wonderland.

(ONE TEA-) SPOONFUL OF SUGAR

One Teaspoon lookbook via studded hearts

     Someone needs to tell the chaps over at One Teaspoon to cut it out. This lookbook is much too good. I've fallen head over heels for the last two looks... this can only spell bad news for the future :). I hope everyone had an amazing New Years Eve! I can't wait to see what the year 2012 will bring.

STAY SQUARE

   More stuff from Zara! This time it's this great t-shirt. It appears at first to be your average plain white tee, until you notice the shoulders... I absolutely love the tucked seam on the shoulders! I got this vest from Gap on sale for $13, I think. I thought I would wear it more often, but I'm finding it difficult to pair. This outfit was from one of the warmer days (a coat was still needed), but the weather in Oklahoma is getting frigid. I don't know how to dress for this! ... despite living here my entire life.

    How do you guys stay fashionable and fight the cold at the same time?
