It's Valentine's Day! Okay, I'm honestly not a fan... I don't enjoy all the PDA that is exhibited and all the sappy Facebook posts, but I may just be bitter haha. It's become a tradition for me not to have a valentine :)

So for everyone who enjoys Valentine's (and even those who don't), a lovely song from the gorgeous Brigitte Bardot. I find this website has the best translation ;). Enjoy!

Hola Chic(a/o)s!

This last week Oklahoma (as well as a few other places) had a lovely snow storm!... Lovely only because I only had school monday :). I got pretty bored during this time and started researching on my favorite band, Tokyo Police Club. Seriously, love love love love them! My BFF, Hillary, and I have been talking about going to one of their concerts for 3 years now, but since the closest one is in Dallas we've never been able to. During my searching, I stumbled upon this AMAZING mashup between Tokyo Police Club and Two Door Cinema Club (another amazing band). I thought I would share it with you this Music Monday, because I can't stop listening to it!

MUSIC MONDAY

*AHHHH this was supposed to post last monday but I must have forgotten to schedule it. Last Music Monday, this Tuesday :) (And the post that went with it. parce que I am no longer sick)

I'm still feeling sick, so for this music monday, you get something happy and upbeat.
If you haven't heard of vampire weekend by now, where have you been?? They're great, they're fun... blegh I don't know what to say. Just listen :).

I first heard Metric a few summers ago when they performed on It's On with Alexa Chung (I miss that show so much!). I instantly fell in love with the rough rock and roll quality of "Help I'm Alive". It wasn't until recently that I started to listen to more (this is what happens when your new iPod gets stolen and your old one breaks -_-), and "Stadium Love" became my new favorite. The singer, Emily Haines ,also happens to have amazing style!

MUSIC MONDAY

I think I'm going to start posting every monday with music I enjoy. First, I'll have more structure, sooooo hopefully I'll post more in general. I feel like I'm finally starting to get back to discovering music like I used to. Last year, when I started dating my ex, he was really into music, so I got a million mix cds with literally hundreds of songs (after a year, I still haven't listened to all of them!).
The song for today is by a group called Young the Giant. It's called "My Body", and it's supaaa fun! I haven't really listened to any of their other songs, but after enjoying this song SO much, learning more about them is on my to-do list :).
